DIGITAL STORYTELLING

Hello to all of you!
This week’s task was digital storytelling, which is creating a fictional story. Defne, Burcu, and I worked together on this task. For his task, we developed 2 characters. After deciding on the setting and the sequence of events and writing the script, we had to add the narrative track and the dialogue between the characters.
For creating the setting and the characters, we used Pixton. It is rather easy to use and it allows you to use so many choices that are free to show your creativity. But it doesn’t have such a feature for you to add your voice. So we recorded our voices and then used the current video editor that is provided by Windows 10. It provides you great opportunities to design your video as you want. Moreover, it is so simple to use. That’s how we created our digital storytelling project.
When it comes to the advantages of digital storytelling in a language classroom, it is inevitable that it attracts students' attention to learning the language and enjoy at the same time. It will be also entertaining especially for children since most of them are into stories. So, that’s all for now. Stay in touch for further posts!

INFOGRAPHIC

Hello to all of you! This week’s task was creating an infographic and we were supposed to give brief information about higher education in Turkey during the pandemic and provide tips about how to be successful in online education as a university student. For this task, ı used Piktochart . From my point of view, it is quite easy to use. Moreover, it has a large scale of infographic templates which is also pretty important. When it comes to utilization, I would like to benefit from infographics in the classroom. Because it looks professional, catchy, and attention-grabbing at the same time. I suppose that it would be enjoyable and informative to use it after reading a book to want its summary and grammar learning. It can lead students to learn while enjoying and facilitate technology. So, that’s all for now. Stay in touch for further posts. Here is my infographic:
